Mollywood Megastar Mammootty paid a surprise visit to India's Hockey star goalkeeper PR Sreejesh's home in Kochi on Thursday. Mammootty congratulated Sreejesh on his historic achievement - winning a bronze medal in men’s hockey at Tokyo Olympics. The first showered praises on Sreejesh for winning the Olympics medal ending Kerala’s 49-years-of-wait. Pictures of Sreejesh showing his Bronze medal to the actor and striking a pose with Mammootty have surfaced online. Producer Anto Joseph and production controller Badusha also accompanied the actor. Going by the pictures, Sreejesh and his family were very excited to meet the superstar.
PR Sreejesh, the goalkeeper of the Indian men’s hockey team that won a bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics, returned back home on Tuesday. Sreejesh is the first Malayali to win an Olympic medal in 49 years after Manuel Frederick, who, too, was the goalkeeper of the Indian Men’s Hockey Team that won a bronze medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. Meanwhile, the Kerala government has announced a cash reward of Rs 2 Crore for Sreejesh and job promotion from deputy director to Join Director in the Department of General and Higher Education.
