Megastar Mammootty is all set to team up with a debutant women director named Rateena Arshad for an upcoming movie. The actor who had previously worked with women directors such as Parvathy Menon (Triyatri) and Sumathy Ram (Vishwa Tulasi) in other languages, this is Mammootty’s first time working with a female director in Malayalam.

Rateena was the executive producer of the film ‘Uyare’ and she is turning a director with this Megastar project. Scripted by Harshad (Unda fame), Sharaf and Suhas (Varathan fame), the movie's Cinematography is by Girish Gangadharan and music by Jakes Bejoy. To be produced by George Sebastian, Shyam Mohan and Arjun Ravindran, more details regarding the cast and crew are yet to be known.

It may be noted that Mammootty launched several filmmakers in Malayalam cinema and most of whom have made it big. Some of the industry’s most accomplished directors like Aashiq Abu, Anwar Rasheed, Amal Neerad, Martin Prakkat etc.
