Mammootty to show cause

  • IndiaGlitz, [Monday,November 13 2006]

Be it with superstar or a smaller star the filmy associations of Malluwood are trying to be rigid with following their agreements with stars.

And so Film Producers association has issued a show cause notice even to the superstar Mammootty. The notice was issued to show cause why Mammootty appeared in Melody a music programme on popular Television channel, during the Ramadan days.

This, as per the association office bearers, is against the treaty conditions between the star association and producers association, which stated that no film stars will appear in TV programmes.

The notice stands in a funny land as majority of the stars like Mukesh, Jagdheesh, Siddhique or Nedumudi Venu are at present hosting one or another of the TV programmes.

And if they have to take action against actors, then most probably a majority will have to be given notices.

Moreover, the producers association has also banned Jagadheesh from taking part in the shooting of films as he appeared in a stage show in UAE.

The other stars who appeared with Jagadheesh like Kavya Madhavan was not issued any notices. Jagadheesh was to start his shoot for the new film by Vinayan this week. The other aspect of curiosity is that this is third time that actors starring in Vinayan films are getting banned during the days of shooting.
