After being postponed from its February 4 release date, director B Unnikrishnan's much-awaited Mohanlal festive entertainer 'Aaraattu' is all set to hit the screens on February 18. Ahead of the release of the big-budget entertainer, the director has now reportedly signed a new project. This time the director is teaming up with Megastar Mammootty. Reportedly, the upcoming film will be scripted by Uday Krishna and is said to be based on a real incident. Touted to be a big budget movie, the movie will go on floors soon and is also expected to be released this year itself! Mammootty has previously teamed up with director B Unnikrishnan for the 2010 film ‘Pramani’, which was an average hit at the box-office.

While Mammootty is currently shooting for his much-awaited investigation thriller CBI 5, director B Unnikrishnan is prepping up for his biggest release of the year 'Aaraattu'. Scripted by Pulimurugan fame Udayakrishna, the big-budget movie has Mohanlal playing a character named Neyyattinkara Gopan. The film’s trailer was released last week, and it has garnered over 4 million views till now.Shraddha Srinath is making her Malayalam debut with this film. 'Aaraattu' also stars KGF actor Ramachandra Raju, Sampath Raj, Siddique, Sai Kumar, Sanjjanaa Galrani, Neha Saxena and Surabhi Lakshmi.
