As you know, three big-budget period epic dramas are gearing up in Malayalam Cinema such as - Mohanlal’s Randamoozham aka The Mahabaratha, Prithviraj’s Karnan, and debutant Sidhil Subramanian’s Chengazhi Nambiar. Now the latest that we hear is yet another historic film is all set to be officially announced. 

Reportedly, the ambitious project which is based on Mamankam will feature Mammootty in the role of a Chekavar. Sajeev Pillai, a former associate of the legendary Adoor Gopalakrishnan, will be helming this project. Produced by Venu Kunnappilly, the movie is likely to go on floors by mid-2018. For now, let's wait for an official announcement from the team!
