Mammootty to lock horns with Pranav Mohanlal?

Megastar Mammootty who is on a signing spree has few projects - in Malayalam and Tamil, lined up for release. The actor's much awaited movie with Shamdat titled Streetlight is all set to hit theatres. If reports are to be believed, the bilingual thriller will be released on January 26.
On the other side, Pranav Mohanlal's much-anticipated hero debut 'Aadhi' is also likely to hit big screens on the same day. However, an official confirmation from both the teams regarding the release date are yet to be made. As expectations around both the films are sky high, a box-office battle between the actions thrillers will be a delight for movie-buffs.
Helmed by Shamdat, Streetlights is a crime thriller which revolves around a murder mystery featuring Mammootty in the role of an investigative police officer. Produced by Mammootty himself, Streetlights will feature Lijo Mol playing a meaty role, paired opposite Soubin Shahir. The movie is a tale of many characters and has Joy Mathew, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Indrans and Harish Kanaran in supporting roles. Veteran actor Pandiarajan, his son Prithvi Rajan, Manobala, Black Pandi, Stunt Silva, Motta Rajendran and some other noted supporting actors feature in the Tamil version.
Jeethu Joseph's directorial Aadhi is a suspense thriller, in which Pranav is essaying the title character who is a musician. The story revolves around a serial killer with a young man in pursuit. The movie has Jagpati Babu, who made his Mollywood debut last year opposite Pranav’s father Mohanlal in Pulimurugan. Anil Johnson is composing the music and Ayoob Khan is handling the edits in Aadhi. Bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas, expectations are quite high about this venture, which is expected to have high octane action sequences.
