According to latest reports, megastar Mammootty has made a decision to hike his remuneration, following in the footsteps of the other superstar of M'Town, Mohanlal. Henceforth, Mammootty will reportedly charge 3.5 crores as remuneration per movie. The hike is because of the consecutive hits that he delivered in recent times.

Mammootty made a very strong comeback with the critically acclaimed 'Munnariyipu'. He followed it up with 'Varsham' which was a critical and commercial success. His recent release 'Bhaskar the Rascal', though not favorable to the critics, is raking in the moolah. The actor is reportedly concentrating on small budget movies so that the movie can register a profit at least with the satellite and television rights alone. It remains to be seen if Mammootty can keep up this momentum.
