As reported earlier, Mollywood Megastar Mammootty has been roped in to play the villain in Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming film, Agent. The espionage-thriller, backed by Anil Sunkara, is directed by Surender Reddy. The movie will see Akhil as a spy agent, inspired by the American action thriller franchise, The Bourne Series, while Mammootty will appear as a baddie. The confrontation scenes and dialogues between the duo are going to be a treat to watch, say reports.
According to the latest update, Mammootty is flying to Europe to shoot his portions for the film on October 20. The filming of his portions in Europe is expected to wrap by November 2. As Mammootty has already left the Telugu cinephiles spellbound with his performance as YS Rajasekhara Reddy in the 2019 film ‘Yatra’, they are eagerly waiting to watch the Megastar sharing screen with the young star Akhil Akkineni. Apart from Europe, the other major locations of the movie include Kashmir, Delhi and Hyderabad. Vakkantham Vamsi has penned the story for the film that will see music by SS Thaman.
Mammootty’s last outing was ‘The Priest’, helmed by debutant Jofin T Chacko. The movie featured Mammootty in the role of a priest. Mammootty also had another release this year - ‘One’, which was a political thriller and the Megastar played the role of Kerala CM, Kadakkal Chandran.
