Mammootty- Sreenivasan combo for 'Pathemari'

Mammootty and Sreenivasan play intimate friends in the movie Pathemari'. It has always been Mohanlal and Sreenivasan who have always been the cult pair of Malayalam cinema before parting ways. This Mammootty - Sreenivasan combo is set fifty years before and chronicles the first flux of immigration to the gulf.

Directed by National Award winning director Salim Ahamed narrates a haunting and touching tale of immigrants. Mammootty plays Pallickal Narayanan and Sreenivasan plays his friend Moideen. Jewel Mary plays Nalini, Narayanan's wife. Shot in different locations in the gulf and other places like Beypore, the shooting has been complted. The post production work is progressing and 'Pathemari' will reach theatres soon.
