It`s World Environment Day today, and talks of doing our bit to preserve our mother earth have resurfaced. As part of the Haritha Kerala Mission, the Kerala government has made a record today by planting over one crore saplings across the state. While many celebrities took part of the drive, Megastar Mammootty too joined them. The Megastar actively participated in the drive by planting saplings and spreading awareness about the need for conservation of environment among students.

Mammootty is one of the few celebrities who passionately work for the green issues, not just one day in the year but for the other 364 days too. It may be remembered that earlier too, in 2014, he started a campaign called My Tree Challenge through which he planted trees and also challenged other actors to do so. Hope his voice is heard by millions, who in turn do their bit to save the earth.
