Mammootty opens up about his entry to politics

During every election time, speculations rife on the entry of Megastar Mammootty into politics. And this year, is no exception. As Mammootty is playing the role of Kerala Chief Minister in his next release ‘One', the actor's fans are eagerly waiting to know if it would happen in real-life as well. Putting an end to all rumors and reports, Mammootty himself has declared that he has no plans to contest in the assembly polls. The actor clarified the same while he was addressing the media on Tuesday during the promotion of his latest release ‘The Priest’.
When the journalists asked him about contesting elections or him joining politics, the Megastar said, “No party has approached me seeking my candidature in the polls. I heard many people are talking about it. I have no clue whether that even is a rumour". He further added, “So far, I haven't thought of making a political entry. Now, the film is my politics and I am only concentrating on it."
Mammootty attended the press meet in Kochi along with his co-star Manju Warrier, director Jofin T Chacko, and producers B Unnikrishnan and Anto Joseph regarding the release of their movie, The Priest.
