Mammootty's much-anticipated movie 'Uncle' directed by debutant Girish Damodar has started rolling today in Calicut. However, the Megastar is yet to join the movie's set. Karthika Muralidharan, Dulquer Salmaan's heroine in Comrade in America will be playing the female lead in this Mammootty starrer. 

Reportedly, Uncle revolves around a 17-year-old girl and her dad's friend. Karthika will essay the role of the teenager and Mammootty as Uncle. Uncle will also feature Joy Mathew, Sheela, Asha Sharath, Vinay Forrt and many others in the supporting roles. Uncle is scripted by actor Joy Mathew and will be in the lines of Joy his previous directorial venture Shutter. The movie is jointly produced by Joy Mathew and Sanjay Sebastian for Abra Films International and SJ Films.
