The shooting of Renji Panicker's Rowdram with Mammootty playing the central character, produced by Marakkar Films, began on August 22.

The film has story and screenplay by the director himself. Mammootty is a busy bee in Malayalam with a slew of offers in his kitty.

Also he is part of a bi-lingual (Aruvadai in Tamil and Vande Matharam in Malayalam).

Besides he has also committed to act in a film opposite Gopika later this year.
