Mammootty has earmarked five days from his busy schedules to be in a character in an English film. The film directed by debutante S.Karthika is titled ‘The Late Night Beggar’.

Mammootty is appearing as a doctor Varma in the film, which also has Baby Malavika, Nethu Chandra and Rohini in other prominent roles. The film which is aimed to cater to a festival audience will be cinematographed by Mahesh Muthuswamy who shot to fame with his work in Chithiram Pesuthedi.

The film which is to be shot at Mahabalipuram, next month will have music by the Italian musician Frederico Sevenezze.

“I had Mammootty in my mind to play the doctor, from the day I planned this movie. Then I mailed the full synopsis to him, who liked it and agreed to be a part of the movie. This is a dream come true for a debutante like me”’ says overwhelmed Karthika.
