Like Thala Ajith, Mammootty is also known for serving free biriyani to the entire cast and crew of his films. Recently, the Megastar completed his 100th biriyani treat, on the sets of the upcoming Ranjith movie Puthan Panam. The actor served special mutton biriyan, cooked by Kannur-based Abdu, to the team consisting of about 150 members, including director Ranjith.

Mammootty started this biriyani treat custome during the shooting days of his 1998 movie Harikrishnans, when his wife used to send him food wrapped in banana leaves. During lunch time, his co-star Mohanlal who is a big time foodie, ate the entire lunch and from the next day, Mammootty`s wife used to sent food for Mohanlal as well. Soon, fans for the food kept on increasing.

Atlast, Mammootty decided to serve biriyani a day to everybody in the shooting set of his films. And now, after 19 years, the Megastar completed his 100th treat in a grand manner.
