'Yatra', the YSR biopic, went on the floors yesterday. Mammootty, who essays the role of the former united AP chief minister, was given a grand welcome on the film's sets earlier on Friday. This was meant to mark the Mollywood superstar's comeback Telugu movie after a gap of 25 years.
"The moment Mammootty entered the 'Yatra' sets, a special team welcomed him the way soldiers hail an emperor. The special team danced to the chartbuster songs of Mammotty’s super hit films," a statement from the makers says.
Directed by Mahi V Raghav, the film is produced by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy of 70 MM Entertainments. The marathon schedule will come to an end only in September. "This must be the longest-ever schedule in the history of Telugu cinema," the makers say.
