Mammootty - Banking on a bankable name

Mammootty was appointed as brand ambassador for South Indian Bank. The actor signed a contract with the bank for three years.
'I am really happy because this is the first time in south India that a bank has appointed a brand ambassador. The contract is for three years,' Mammootty said.
He, however, did not disclose the contracted amount.
'I accepted the offer as South Indian Bank is currently poised for huge growth and has got sound finances,' said Mammootty, who is at present endorsing Kerala government's IT project Akshaya.
