'Mambattiyan's music launch live on Sun Music

ÂMambattiyan which released a couple of decades back in the 1980s with Thiagarajan and Saritha playing the leads still lingers in our minds. Soon ThiagarajanÂs son Prashanth will be seen essaying the titular role with Meera Jasmine playing his love interest in the remake of this film which bears the same title. ÂMambattiyan which has been shooting in dense jungles for more than a year now is produced and directed by Thiagarajan.
The audio launch of this film, which depicts the life of a forest brigand Mambattiyan, will be out in the market soon. Music for ÂMambattiyan has been tuned by Thaman, and insiders have revealed that the songs have come out well. One particular number ÂKaatuvazhi... has been crooned by Simbu, and like all his other songs the expectations for this number too is high.
The audio launch of ÂMambattiyan will be telecast live on a popular Tamil music channel at 7.00 p.m. on November 23.
Mumaith Khan, Prakash Raj and Vadivelu will be seen essaying crucial roles in this film. The film will be released under ThiagarajanÂs Lakshmi Shanthi Movies. Though a date has not been rounded yet for the filmÂs release sources close to the unit reveal that the flick might hit theatres sometime during December.
