Crimes against women are happening by the minute and no one is safe even if the victim happens to be a celebrity. A popular television actress was stabbed by a man in her abdomen and both hands which has shocked the entertainment industry.

Popular television actress Malvi Malhotra had known the accused Yogesh Mahipal Singh for a year after meeting him through social media. it is said that on Monday night at 9pm when she stepped out of her house the man came by in his car and started forcing her to agree to marry him. When she refused he had stabbed her with the knife that he bought causing serious injuries.

Malvi Malhotra was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai and was treated for her wounds and is said to be out of trouble now. The Versova police have registered a case and is on the hunt for the accused man who is said to be a producer too.

Malvi Malhotra apart from her Hindi serials has also acted as heroine opposite Robert in the 2018 fim 'Ondikku Ondi' and a few Telugu films too.
