Our close hand informs that when director Sanjay Khanduri (Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local) and Amit approached Mallika with the script of 'KLPD', Mallika agreed sensing the importance of the content in this film.

Mallika was looking for a performance driven role like 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects’ which got her due recognition as an actress and the Haryanvi lass is happy to find it in 'KLPD'.

In 'KLPD 'Mallika plays a Punju bombshell caught in an adventurous journey when she misses the last Metro home.
