Mallika Sherawat is reported to have grabbed yet another Hollywood project which looks really impressive. The actress has been roped in by American director Doug McHenry for his political comedy film titled ‘Love, Barack’.

Mallika will be featured along with ‘Avatar’ star Laz Alonso. Said the bubbly actress, "Laz Alonso is a talented and exciting actor. I'm very lucky to be working with him."

Mallika said to play the character of Aretha Gupta - a devoted, local Obama volunteer coordinator.

According to reports, the story - a snapshot of a moment in time that was filled with hope, change, and passionate debate - follows the romantic and political roller-coaster. It shows that the month before Election Day, Democrat Aretha unexpectedly falls for her Republican counterpart (Alonso), a handsome, dynamic African-American working for the local McCain office.

Besides Alonso- Sherawat, ‘Love, Barack’ also has veteran actress Ruby Dee, comic actor Gerry Bednob and film and television actress Loretta Devine.

Earlier, Sherawat had been alongside Jackie Chan in ‘The Myth’ and then, currently she has on hand ‘Hisss’ – another Hollywood project directed by Jennifer Lynch.
