'Mallesham' tells the "inspirational story" of Padma Shri recipient Chintakindi Mallesham. Directed by debutant Raj R, it has comedy actor Priyadarshi playing the titular role.

Suresh Productions has released its trailer on Wednesday. Going by the trailer, the biopic on Mallesham chronicles the entire life story of its subject, right from his adulthood, love story, his parents' poverty, and the 5th class dropout's rise in the realm of weaving. The poverty-stricken lives of Telangana's weavers form a leitmotif of the movie.

If Ananya plays Priyadarshi's wife, Jhansi plays his mother. Chakrapani and Thagupotu Ramesh will be seen in key roles.

Music is by Mark K Robin and cinematography is by Balu Sandilyasa. Dialogues, delivered in Telangana slang, are by Peddinti Ashok Kumar. Lyrics are by Gorati Venkanna, Chandra Bose, and Dasarathi.

The film will hit the screens on June 21.
