The Telugu version of Bigg Boss has been displaying a male bias, critics are alleging. As proof, they are pointing at the exclusive domination by males among title winners. There have been six seasons so far. All title winners thus far have been male.

The first season was won by Siva Balaji, the second one by Kaushal Manda, the third one by Rahul Sipligunj, the fourth one by Abhijeet D, the fifth one by VJ Sunny, and the latest one by LV Revanth.

Besides their gender, there is another commonality. Each of them was expected to grow by leaps and bounds in the film industry after their title-winning stints at Bigg Boss. But none of them could make any impact on the psyche of the Telugu film audience. No filmmaker seems to be quite interested to cast them in major movies.

Four of the six seasons were hosted by the same actor: Akkineni Nagarjuna. Guess Bigg Boss deserves a female host and a female title winner next?

It must be noted that there is a consolation prize: Bindu Madhavi won the title of Bigg Boss Telugu OTT, streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar.
