Hindi and Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan, who has done films like 'Race Gurram' and 'Supreme' in Telugu, has said that casting couch is a menace that affects even men. He suggested that male actors/aspirants too are made unwanted sexual advances by exploiters in the film industry.
Describing those who make such unwelcome advances as "sexual predators", the versatile character artist describes the phenomenon as a "part and parcel of the game".
Speaking from an ethical sense, Ravi Kishan says that compromising for the sake of success will bring misery in the long run. "There is no future in selling yourself," he tells a daily, adding that one has to be clean at the "inner conscious level".
Male actors are not known to speak about casting couch as something that victimizes even men. Ravi Kishan is an exception.
The actor awaits the release of Bellamkonda Srinivas-Sriwass' 'Saakshyam' in July.
