Woman set on fire holds on to rapist tightly burning him to death

A 42 year old widowed woman lived with her three daughters in the Subhas Colony in the Malda district of West Bengal. On March 4th the neighbours in the area saw smoke coming out of her house and rushed in to find the woman burning on the floor holding on to a 35 year old man. They both were rushed to a hospital where the man succumbed to his injuries while the woman suffered burns on her face and hands.
The woman has alleged that the man used to disturb her often and on that fateful day barged into her house raped her and then set her on fire. She then added that she held on to him tightly and that was when her neighbours found them both. The police are investigating in all angles including why the man whose house is 35 kilometers from the crime scene was there and also allegations by some of the neighbours that he used to often visit the woman.
