Kamal Hassan's 'Vishwaroopam' had raked up controversies and made enough news worldwide. While the rest of the world has come to peace, Malaysia is still in pieces - ban on the movie has still not been lifted in the country!

The movie was to have been released on the 25th of January. Due to a complaint that certain portions in the movie disturb the Islam sentiment, the movie was issued a ban by the Tamil Nadu government, on the 24th, and the movie's release was postponed by two weeks. Rest of the country and Sri Lanka followed suit and imposed a ban on the film. After negotiation and understanding, ban was lifted in Tamil Nadu, followed by the others, and the movie was released on February 7th.

However, as decided earlier, the movie was released bang on target, on January 25th, in Malaysia. The following day, news hit the country, and they 'temporarily' banned the movie, which has still not been lifted. Malay Kamal fans are more than worried. Let us hope the country understands soon.
