The 2020 Malayalam blockbuster 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' is going to be remade in Telugu. Sithara Entertainments owns the remake rights. The production house hasn't said anything about the remake as yet.
The remake is likely to star two medium-range actors as lead men. What is the story about? "It revolves around the conflict between Koshy Kurien, an influential and wealthy ex-Havildar and Ayyappan Nair, a Sub-inspector in Attappadi," a Wiki entry about the Malayalam original says. Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon, the action-thriller is helmed by Sachy.
The film will also be remade in Tamil by a production house.
As for Sithara Entertainments, it is currently busy bankrolling Nithin-Venky Atluri’s ‘Rang De’, Nani-Rahul Sankrityan’s ‘Shyam Singha Roy’, and a film with 'Aswathama' actor Naga Shaurya.
