Thangalaan is an upcoming magnum opus film directed by the highly acclaimed Pa Ranjith. Chiyaan Vikram leads the film while it also stars Parvathy Tiruvothu, Pasupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Caltagirone, Harikrishnan and others. The filming kickstarted last year is close to the finish line.

We already saw that Malavika Mohanan reduced her weight and took rigorous training for her role in Thangalaan. In a recent interview, the actress opened up about her role in the movie. She said, "My character is a very fierce & powerful. This is the toughest film of my career. I learned basics of silambam, gymnastics, rolling, kicks & jumps for this role."

"It's a period film and my character involves action sequences, Stick fighting, etc. Being physicallyfit is 75% job done for this movie," adds Malavika. Produced by Studio Green & Neelam Productions, the team is planning to release Thangalaan on a festival date in 2024. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the musical score for this much-anticipated film.
