Once heart throb of 1990 era, Malashri was billed as ‘Kanasina Raani’ (Dream Girl) as she ruled the industry as heroine for several years worked in three call sheets per day.

From ‘Nanjundi Kalyana’ Malashri opened her innings and in 1995 she transformed to action oriented roles in films from Lady Police. A series of films like Circle inspector, CBI Durga, Lady Commissioner, Akka, Lady Tiger, Chamundi, Shakthi, Veera, Election, Gharshane, Mahakali and others Malashri did what a hero normally does in films – action.

With a film ‘Uppu Huli Khara’ ready for release in Imran Sardaria direction, noted actress Malashri is contemplating on change over.  She has reduced weight, grown long hair and looking fit for heroine role again.

More intelligent roles as a female she wants to turn up on screen and show the common audience that they can get justice in the society in any level or status in the society.

With new looks and role Malashri is contemplating on opening another chapter in her career. Of course her husband noted producer Ramu of over 35 films to his credit is there to encourage the good thoughts of Malashri.
