Malaikottai

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Telugu Comments

Expectations are high on Vishal's Malaikottai, which is progressing at a rapid pace. Spurred by the success of Thiruvilayadal, director Boopathy Pandian is lending his trademark touches catering to a youthful audience.

After the success of Thiruvilayadal Arambham, Boopathy Pandian is joining hands with Vishal for Malaikottai.

Quite appropriate to the title, the movie is being shot in and around Tiruchy with songs being shot abroad.

Priyamani, whose work in Paruthiveeran spoke volumes of her acting credentials, is paired with Vishal.

According to Boopathy Pandian, "The movie features Vishal as the happy-go-lucky man out on vacation in Tiruchy. Love is instant for him running into Priyamani. She has quite a handful of problems to be sorted out. With Vishal as her Man-Friday, Priya tides over a difficult situation".

"Ashish Vidyarthi and Kannada actor Devaraj are the 'bad elements' in the movie. Important roles are earmarked for Mayilsamy, Manobala and Dhandapani".

Mani Sharma's musical score, in tune with the script, could well turn out to be the movie's highlight.

Stunts (Kanal Kannan) and Vaithi (cinematography) are the other important names.

According to Vishal, "it is a racy commercial entertainer. Boopathy pandian has captured the events in such an interesting and gripping manner".

"With my previous films proving to be a hit at the box office, I have taken utmost care to ensure that my performance in Malaikottai match the expectations of the masses".

Priyamani is donning a glamour role in the movie. She appears in skimpy costumes for the song sequences. The rest of the team includes G Sasikumar (editing), Kalyan Shobi (dance director) and Na Muthukumar and Yugabharathi (lyrics).
