Makkal Selvan takes on an action avatar under the direction of Manikandan of ‘Kaaka Muttai’ fame

During the recent ‘JioHotstar South Unbound’ event held in Chennai, actor Vijay Sethupathi made an important announcement regarding his new action web series, which he is producing and starring in.

The series is being directed by Manikandan, who previously helmed realistic films like ‘Kaaka Muttai’ and ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’. It is notable that this marks Manikandan’s debut in the action genre, as he has not directed action stories until now.

“The story of ‘Kaataan’ was written by my friend Manikandan. I thoroughly enjoyed acting in this series. Reading the first six pages of the series gave me a feeling that it was going inside me and healing me,” said Vijay Sethupathi at the event.

The ‘Kaataan’ web series, produced by Vijay Sethupathi himself and directed by Manikandan, is expected to be a new treat for action fans.
