The Makkal Neethi Maiam headed by Kamal Haasan has announced the list of the first 21 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2019.  The list includes an Ex-DIG, lawyers, doctors, teacher and social activists.

The remaining candidates will be announced on the 24th of March in Coimbatore during the general meeting there along with the candidate's list for Tamil Nadu bye-elections.  Kamal Haasan has said that whether he would contest the Parliamentary elections or not will be revealed at the meeting as well.
