'Uppena' will hit the screens on February 12. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, its pre-release buzz has been strong. It's because the makers have been trying to generate unprecedented interest in the climax.
Director Buchi Babu Sana has said that the climax goes beyond that of 'Rangasthalam'. "It will shock as well as evoke a sense of sadness," the debutant recently suggested in an interview.
At the pre-release event of the film, the speakers indicated that the USP of 'Uppena' is going to be its climax.
The rumour is that the arm of Panja Vaisshnav Tej's character is amputated by Vijay Sethupathi's characters' goons in the climax. A glimpse of it is seen in the trailer. We have seen an element of this in 'Colour Photo', the direct OTT release of 2020.
Starring Krithi Shetty as the heroine, the film is also awaited by the fans of Sukumar, who is not only a presenter but also hand-held the director during its making. The 'Rangasthalam' and 'Pushpa' maker knows the in and out of the script and was instrumental in finalizing the lead pair.
