Towards the starting of this year, the Covid-19 situation was looking to be under control. This is why several films announced their theatrical release dates as the normalcy was slowly returning. Same was the case with Adivi Sesh starrer 'Major' which was slated to release on 2nd July. Promotional poster and a teaser of the film were released and met with huge excitement of fans.

However, as the nation experienced a massive surge in the number of infected cases, the lockdowns were imposed in several parts of the country and now just like everyone else, makers of 'Major' has also decided to postpone the release of the film.

The official statement by the team read, “We are living in unprecedented times and we hope you all are following all the safety protocols and staying safe. Our film Major, which was originally scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 2nd July, is now postponed to a later date:
WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE NEW RELEASE DATE ONCE THINGS ARE BACK TO NORMAL.

Times are tough but so are we.
