'Major' is scheduled to hit the screens on June 3 in three languages (Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam). Premieres are going to be held for public from May 24 in cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and our own Hyderabad. Chennai's screenings are being planned as well.
Meanwhile, a word has gone out that the CBFC officials who have watched the movie as part of the censor certification process have immensely liked 'Major' to the extent that they almost got emotional! They gave a standing ovation, it is heard.
'Major' tells the life story of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the 26/11 martyr. It has been made as a biographical action drama. Sesh's performance, Prakash Raj's dialogues, and the anti-terror operation by the military are said to be key highlights of the movie.
Produced by Sony Pictures Films India, GMB Entertainment, and A+S Movies, 'Major' has action choreography by Sunil Rodrigues. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, 'Major' is co-written by Adivi Sesh (story and screenplay) and Abburi Ravi (Script Guidance and dialogues). Cinematography is by Vamsi Patchipulusu, while Sri Charan Pakala has composed the music.
