'Major', the pan-India film based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, stars Adivi Sesh in the titular role. A Look Test poster was unveiled by the makers of the film on Friday.

"It was a day after the 26/11 attacks began that I happened to see the picture of Major Sandeep on TV. I saw madness and passion in his eyes. I was instantly struck by him. I have since researched a lot about him by reading up media interviews. I couldn't muster up the courage to call his parents over the years until much later when I decided to tell his story as a pan-India film," Sesh said, releasing the Look Test.

The film aims to show how this valiant soldier saved the lives of numerous hostages before being martyred by the activists who wreaked havoc in the Taj Mahal Palace during the attacks, he adds.

The Hindi-Telugu bilingual, produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and A+S Movies, is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka.

Sobhita Dhulipala of 'Goodachari' fame and Saiee Manjrekar are part of the cast.

If cinematography is by Vamsi Patchipulusu, its music is by Sri Charan Pakala. Production Design is by Avinash Kolla. The film's First Look will be out on December 17.
