It was on this date last year that 'Majili' hit the screens. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the coming-of-age romantic sports drama starred Naga Chaitanya, Samantha Akkineni and Divyansha Kaushik in lead roles. As the Summer blockbuster turns one, the Akkineni hero today got nostalgic about it.

The film had Samantha in one of her most challenging roles ever. Chay played a cricketer who comes with angst and pain. Subbaraju, Rao Ramesh, Atul Kulkarni, and Posani Krishna Murali played important parts. Gopi Sunder's songs and Thaman's background score were big assets.
