The Trailer is a thoroughgoing follow-up to the recently-released Teaser. Poorna (Naga Chaitanya) is a dude in distress months (or years) after his love with Ashu (Divyansha Kaushik) fell on the rocks. With it died his cricketing career too.
Shravani (Samantha Akkineni) comes along as an empathetic wife who accepts Poorna for what he is. When his elders reject his despondent ways, Poorna finds no solace in the one person who loves him the most. His friends offer him comfort but it's his wife who is the real soulmate. How long before he understands it? Will Poorna seek a divorce from his wife? If yes, what emotional consequences will it have for him and Shravani?
The film has been touted to be a "cricket-based romantic drama", but there is little cricket in the Trailer. Perhaps, they should have called it a cricketer's romantic saga.
If Posani Krishna Murali and Rao Ramesh can be expected to offer some laughs (given Chay and Sam are consistently grim), Mahesh Vitta, Ravi Prakash and others may also deliver entertainment.
Vishnu Sarma's cinematography is suitable. Gopi Sunder's background music, besides the songs, seem to be out to give a high. Edited by Prawin Pudi, the drama also features Subbaraju and Rajasri Nair.
The film releases on April 5.
