The last season of "Never Have I Ever" is out, and people are hooked on it. Our very own “Devi”, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan , has done a phenomenal job. In a recent interview with “Spill the Boba Tree”, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan talked about her childhood and how she got the part in “Never Have I Ever”.

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan was born and grew up in Canada, in the city of Mississauga. She started acting in shows in high school and found that she liked it. She still wants to be an animator. In the interview, she mentioned that she grew up watching good tamil movies like Vijay’s Pokkiri and Superstar Rajnikanth’s Chandramukhi with her brother.

Maitreyi was very in tune with her Tami culture and she appreciated that “Never Have I Ever” tried their best to adapt the Tamil culture from costumes, the scenes and even the last dance song, which she and Richa Moorjani did, to the Tamil culture. Maitreyi said that she and Richa wanted to perform a song by a female singer to show their respect for women in the music business. But the other thing that was important to Maitreyi was that the song be in Tamil.

Maitreyi feels beautiful when her fans come from many different places. We don't know what's next for Maitreyi, but she'll be great wherever she goes or in whatever part she plays.
