Speaking about 'Maidaan' Boney Kapoor has shared to Bollywood media "What I am going through is horrible. I don’t want to be reminded of it. If I think about the pressure or feelings or loss, I will start crying. If I think about the budget overshooting and expenses piling up, I might go into depression. I don’t even feel like looking at the set right now”
Kapoor however also expressed gratitude to God that though forty to fifty people were working on the sets of 'Maidaan' when the cyclone hit no one was hurt. He also added "I am hoping once everything comes back to normal, we will complete the rest of the film and hope the result makes the audience happy" The film, a biopic of former Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim has Ajay Devgn in the lead with Priya Mani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh also in the cast.
