Krishna Madhav is the nephew of Galla Aruna Kumari and so, from the family of Superstars. Having grown passionate about films watching the two Superstars from the family, he is now venturing into acting himself.
Though he has spent major part of his life outside Telugu state, he doesnÂt feel alien to the language nor does he sound so. Quite kicked up about the maiden attempt at acting, he says working for two movies as an assistant director was a strategy.
His debut movie ÂHrudayam Ekkadunnadi is set to release on the 15th March and in an exclusive interview, he disclosed his details like his education, training, relation with Mahesh Babu, his director, producers and heroines etc. Excerpts from the interview...
Born Here, Been There...
I was born in Chennai, did my education in AP, did my Engineering in Chennai again, Masters in Texas, USA and moved back to India with a passion on movies. I worked with Trivikram Srinivas on ÂKhaleja and Srinu Vaitla on ÂDookudu as assistant director. Now, ÂHrudayam Ekkadunnadi is my debut as an actor
My Role In The Film...
Its a confused character, as clueless as todayÂs regular youth is. About the girls, about career, about life itself. I am sure after watching the film, many young people will not only connect themselves with my character but will be able to clear their confusions too.
Beautiful Love Story...
ItÂs a love story and I loved the way the director narrated it to me. I for one believe that as a newcomer I can portray myself in a romance better than an action flick.
Not New To Film Production...
Both me and the director are debutantes for our roles of acting and directing respectively. But we both have ample of experience in the industry. Me as an AD for two films and he assisted AR Murugadoss. So, he handled the project deftly.
I Worked As AD Coz...
I worked as an Assistant Director with a purpose before acting. There is more to acting than just doing what your director wants you too before the camera. There is the camera frame, the styling, script, the improvisations that can be done in the dubbing and at every stage of the film production and post production. The experience helped me understand my role as an actor better too and I suggest every new actor should work as an AD for at least one movie to understand the moviemaking as a process.
Never Wanted To Direct...
I am a super fan of Superstar Mahesh Babu and I got this great opportunity to observe him closely working as an AD in both the films. But I told him and both the directors I worked with that I want to be an actor, not a director and I thank them for having allowed me to assist them.
One Singer, Other Dancer...
There are two heroines for me in the film Anusha and Samskrithi. Anusha is a trained singer and Samskrithi is a classical dancer who did her Aurangetram with ÂMohini Attam at the age of five itself. Both the girls are beautiful, professional and hard workers. You will appreciate their work in the film when you watch it.
Mahesh...
Mahesh is a fantastic person and a professional. He is committed, disciplined and there is a special way he prepares for the scene. Having observed him closely, I learnt a lot, especially how Magic is added to the script when it transforms from paper to screen.
ÂFollow Your Instincts...Â
I showed the material like designs, songs etc to Mahesh at different levels to know his thoughts and he told me Âgo with your instincts and you will always do well in life He hasnÂt seen the film yet, I am waiting for his time.
Professional Producers...
Both the producers Pavan and Sanjay are from USA and have their own business setups. Being passionate about films, they ventured into this and unlike the rookie producers who are skeptical about debutante director and hero, they believed in us and invested in us. I am sure, they would feel their faith is restored after watching the film.
I Am A Local Boy...
I worked hard to get back into my Indian/Telugu shoes. Immediately after coming back from the US, I got trained with a coach in Chennai for over three months and it helped me a lot. Now I am sure you would see a local boy, not an NRI on screen.
I Am The Race Horse...
I am focused, looking straight at my goal like a race horse and let me clarify once again, I am running my own race. I know that its my hard work that will pay me back.
Watch And Bless...
ÂHrudayam Ekkadunnadi is a beautiful film done by all youngsters with a burning ambition to make it big in the film industry. So, please watch the film and bless us.
