Prince Mahesh Babu and maverick film maker Maniratnam's 'dream project' has been shelved. The film was supposed to star Vikram, Anushka Shetty, Vijay, Arya and even Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra.

However since Maniratnam felt that the budget of about Rs 200 crore was too high for this script, he is believed to have told the actors that he wouldn't need their dates for this film.

Mahesh Babu was very excited about this project. He infact posted online that 'his dream has come true and that he will be doing a film with Mani sir'.

Rumours were rife that Yuvan Shankar Raja would be the music director and Sun Pictures would produce this ambitious project in which Vikram was to play a Chola king and Mahesh a Pallava King.

Mahesh is currently doing a film with Srinu Vytla. Post that he will give his dates to R R Movie Makers for 'The Businessman'.
