Last month, Nithiin-Rashmika Mandanna's 'Bheeshma' became a box-office hit, putting Venky Kudumula on a hat-trick. Two years before, his debut movie, 'Chalo', too, was a hit.

Our sources inform us that the young filmmaker is now in the good books of Superstar Mahesh Babu himself. The 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' actor is learned to have listened to a storyline from Venky. Impressed with it, he seems to have asked him to develop it into a script.

As of now, Mahesh awaits the launch of his next movie, to be helmed by 'Geetha Govindam' maker Parasuram.

On Sunday, Venky called on Megastar Chiranjeevi. The 'Sye Raa' and 'Acharya' star appreciated the director after watching 'Bheeshma'. Taking to Twitter, Venky said, “Thank you so much, Chiranjeevi sir, for watching our movie and appreciating our efforts. As a proud fan of yours, I will cherish this moment for life."
