Every reigning star gets his turn to say that he does not consider himself to be the unsurpassable. Mahesh's case is no different. When Mahesh Babu said that Puri Jagannadh had taken his stature to another level with Businessman, he did not mean to say that he was the Number One in Tollywood. Not in the least. The humble star says that there could be other stars who are a competition to him.

Moreover, he is not eyeing Bollywood at the moment. He wants to concentrate on Telugu movies. In the light of some sections of the Press and the electronic media reporting that the Congress Party is keen on drafting his support, the actor said that he was least interested in politics. Speaking facetiously, he said that he knows about politics as much as his son (Gautham) knows.

While Businessman was in the making, Mahesh saw it as a love story because the heroine has a meaty part in the proceedings. Terming the film as the best one in his career, he could not resist himself from showing his excitement about working in the sequel. "Puri Jagannadh has told Ram Gopal Varma the line (of Businessman-2); he hasn’t told it to me", he said. The movie is likely to go on the floors by this year end.
