Mahesh's 'BEN' pulls off a new record: Reports

Maheshs BEN pulls off a new record: Reports

The Tamil version of Mahesh Babu's latest hit, 'Bharat Ennum Naan', is reportedly going strong in the neighbouring Tamil Nadu. The Koratala Siva-directed movie hit the screens on May 31.

As of the end of Sunday, it earned a gross of Rs. 92 lakhs. "Outside Chennai city (where 'BAN' is an all-time record holder for Telugu films), the response has been particularly strong!" says a box-office tracker and film industry observer.

A political drama also starring Kiara Advani and Prakash Raj, 'BAN' has earned flabbergasting figures through satellite rights in Telugu and Hindi. Produced by DVV Entertainments, the Telugu version had hit the cinemas on April 20, becoming a monstrous hit in the Overseas territory.
