Mahesh Babu To Play Gona Ganna Reddy...?

It was reported that Super Star Mahesh Babu was approached for playing the special role of 'Gona Ganna Reddy' in the historical magnum opus produced and directed by Guna Sekhar starring Anushka in the title role but Mahesh Babu declined to play the same citing the fans and their requirements as the reason. It was also reported that the stubborn director pestered him enough to get an annoyed reply from the star.
Now sources close to the production house reveal that Guna Sekhar could finally mend the actor to play the role and even the costumes are being designed and prepared for his size and stature. Its revealed that the actor had been narrated about the character by the director when the two were working on the sets of ÂArjun and was moved by the traits.
Now, if the news turn out to be true, the projectÂs canvas would be increased multifold and no wonder Guna Sekhar was persistent on getting Mahesh on board.
