It's known that AR Murugadoss is shooting Mahesh's bi-lingual in Telugu and Tamil. The Rs. 100-cr budgeted movie, it was expected from the beginning, will be released in a big way in Tamil Nadu on the scale of a big Kollywood release.

Perhaps because of the scale involved and also because Murugadoss is a perfectionist who likes to be as realistic as possible, he has asked Mahesh to brace up to dub himself for his role for the Tamil version. Now, Mahesh mightn't have much difficulty in pulling it off for the reason that, having grown up in Chennai, he would instinctively understand the nuances of the slang, etc. It could also be that the role he is playing has him speak in an understated way, which must be why Mahesh is ready to do it.
