We all know that the prestigious 100th project of Sri Thenandal Films will be a mega budget historical fantasy flick directed by Sundar.C. The team has undertaken extensive pre-production work and world renowned technicians like music director A.R.Rahman, art director Sabu Syril, VFX expert Kamalkannan and cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee have been roped in. The film has been tentatively titled as 'Sangamithra'.

While this project was officially announced in June, the lead cast is yet to be confirmed. Names of Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Suriya were initially suggested but their participation in this grand project has been ruled out.

Now sources reveal that the script has equal scope for two big star heroes and Tollywood star Mahesh Babu has been confirmed for one among them. Now the makers are searching for another hero and it may be a star from Kollywood or Tollywood.

Mahesh Babu is presently shooting for A.R.Murugadoss's Tamil-Telugu bilingual film and the source hints that he will take up Sundar.C's film as his next.

We will however have to wait for an official confirmation about Mahesh Babu being finalized for this project, touted to be the costliest Indian film ever.
