Namrata Shirodkar has revealed that Gautham Ghattamaneni has emerged as one of the top eight competitive swimmers in the Telangana State Swimming competition for his age group. Saying that her teen son has been swimming professionally since 2018, the wife of Mahesh Babu sounded extremely proud.

"He has adapted to the sport organically, thoroughly enjoying the hard work, channeling the mentioned technique into speed and precision," the former actress revealed, adding that he is good at Butterfly Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle with ease and grace.

She revealed that Gautham's favorite is endurance freestyle where he can swim a continuous 5kms within 3 hours.

Gautham was seen in '1: Nenokkadine', which was directed by Sukumar, in 2014. It was his debut movie and he was seen as the 'chota' Mahesh Babu in it. One day, when he debuts as a male lead, Gautham must plan to do an underwater stunt, using the exceptional skills he has been honing for years.

These days, Mahesh is looking forward to restarting the shoot of 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata'. Directed by Parasuram Petla, it has Keerthy Suresh as the female lead.
