Mahesh Babu's assurances to Tamil fans

During the audio launch of Selvandhan' the Tamil dubbed version of his upcoming release Srimanthudu' held in Chennai last evening, a visibly excited Tollywood Superstar Maheshbabu said that this was the first time his movie is releasing simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil and he is really thrilled about that.

The much loved star who underwent his graduation in Chennai could address the gathering in fluent Tamil. To a question on why he is yet to do a direct Tamil film despite being able to speak in the language , the Dhookudu' star said that he could not think of a direct Tamil film as most of his Telugu super hits were remade in Tamil with Tamil actors and he did not got a straight Tamil script so far. He also assured he will not let go a good script coming his way to do a direct Tamil film

Mahesh Babu delighted his Tamil speaking fans, by saying that his future films will follow the Srimanthudu' fashion in having a simultaneous release in Tamil and said that he will dub on his own for the Tamil version of his next Telugu film Brahmotsavam'.

Speaking about Selvandhan' Mahesh Babu said that the Kottala Siva directed venture has a great potential to click with native Tamil audience as its subject will easily connect to them. Secondly, it has a lot of Tamil actors with Shruthi Haasan playing the lead heroine and Sukanya as Mahesh Babu's mother, Brahmanandan who has appeared in quite many films in Tamil as comedian and renowned actor Sampath Raj as villain. He also added that a few portions of the film have been shot in Tamil Nadu.

Srimanthudu' aka Selvandhan' is heading for a worldwide release on Friday (August 7) and in Tamil Nadu Selvandhan' will release in 105 screens and Srimanthudu' will release in 60 screens.
